Justice

Writer's picture: John Mark GulliverJohn Mark Gulliver

Who judges justice? How can one man do

For fellow man due diligence? And who

Has confidence in his sinful decisions?

What mortal lives that feels not imprecision

In his very hands? No man at all.

That blessing has been exiled since the Fall.

Man’s justice fails. Quite necessarily.

The Lord our God is conscious more than we

Of our life’s worth, our sin’s extremity.

The one to whom belong wisdom and might,

The one whose words’ unfolding gives man light,

Has come to us, to comfort and to guide.

If you seek justice, in the Son abide.

Daniel 2:20; Psalm 119:130; Psalm 23; John 15:5
